Roadside memorials...

Pea pods. I covered close to 100 miles on Interstate 84 between Boise and Jerome, Idaho. Random pea pods on the shoulder the whole way. I aimed for 'em. No damage to the tires, just a pass-the-time thrill of hearing them pop when I ran over them.

And, of course, the intriguing roadkill. This is a kangaroo rat 'taking a nap' on the side of the freeway.
