We stopped at a crowded cafe and took a seat at an outside table. Suddenly, a bold Southern-crested Caracara landed on a railing within six feet of me. At about 22 inches tall, the bird showed no fear of humans as it flapped and hopped about looking for bits of human food left behind to eat. Not good for the bird and not cool when a lady threw it a chip. Beautiful bird though. >>>
