			       Then it was off to visit a shark farm. The Greenland Shark is not fished because it swims too deeply to know where to fish for it. If it is caught by accident in a trawler's net, the fishermen will call the shark farm as it is not legal to return the sharks to the sea. The farm receives about 70 of these sharks a year. They are enormous and yield over 2,000 pounds of meat per fish. The aged meat is called 'hakari'and is an Icelandic delicacy. >>>  |
