"Why did you take photos of dead things?"
Riding a bicycle, one can notice things along the road that would not be noticed traveling at a greater speed enclosed within the cockpit of a car... like road kill. A macabre fascination to some, perhaps, an elegant and strangely beautiful and conceptual repose to me. So in the Spring of '05, I began to capture these images of road kill along the foothills of central California.
